Lowell began acting in Dangerously Close, followed by the role of a minor character in Club Paradise, starring as Robin Williams. She also had roles co-starring alongside Bond girl Pam Bouvier, in the James Bond movie Licence to Kill (1989), and as the Assistant District Attorney Jamie Ross, in 1996. Also, she appeared in Law & Order for two seasons. In 2005, she played the identical role as Jamie Ross on Law & Order: Trial by Jury. In 2022 she was back on the show's original.
