Amal Alamuddin was born in Beirut. Her initial name originates taken from the word'ml', which is Arabic that means "hope". Her age was two when her family moved in Buckinghamshire from Lebanon during the Lebanese Civil War. [10] Her father Ramzi Alamuddin, a Lebanese Druze of the Alam al-Din dynasty village of Baakline located in the Chouf Districtwas awarded an MBA degree at the American University of Beirut. The civil war came to an end in 1991, he returned to Lebanon. Her mother, Baria (nee Miknass), was born to a family of Sunni Muslims in Tripoli in Northern Lebanon,[14][11] and a Palestinian-Jordanian[15] mother. She was a journalist in the field of politics as well as foreign editor for the newspaper run by Saudi Arabia, al-Hayat. She established the public relations firm International Communication Experts. This firm is part of an additional firm that specializes in booking celebrities as well as publicity photos and events. Amal has the eldest of 3 children: one half-sister (Tala), and two brothers from her father's previous marriage. 18 Amal went to Dr Challoner's high school, a girls' grammar school located within Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire, prior to college. She then attended St Hugh's College at Oxford where, among other things, she was awarded the Shrigley Award and an exhibition award. She received an undergraduate degree, a Bachelor of Arts in Judiciary (BA) at the age of 2000. Following that she enrolled in New York University School of Law in pursuit of the Master of Laws Degree (LL.M). In addition, the Jack J.
